November 2018 Salford Makers along with other artists representing Islington Mill studios created SHOP for the purpose of exhibiting and selling work.
The work on sale was the end product of months of cross collaboration between individual artists at Islington Mill & lead artist Sally Gilford during the Open Maker commission.
With each of us designing to a specific brief to ensure the overall curation worked, the SHOP was a complete success bringing in customers from all over the UK. Each artist managed to work with new materials and push their practice in another direction making the products on sale completely unique for this project.
