Artist and natural printer Talie Linseed (aka Natalie Linney) utilises 5,000 year old natural dyeing process to create unique, imperfect and ever changing work.
Her focus is directed towards creating pieces from her immediate environment using found objects, plants and minerals. Primarily in her work Natalie looks at the links between nature and industry, also touching upon migration, multiculturalism and history. She strives to represent a diverse country using contrasting colours and techniques learned from a wealth of different cultures worldwide.
Currently based at Islington Mill in Salford Natalie is also a visual art creative practitioner working with schools and community groups to deliver specialist workshops and projects. Recently part of the MIF Creative 50 Programme, Natalie collaborated to create an installation looking into Manchester’s industrial and socialist history.
